UPLAND GAME HUNTING

There are 2 areas for upland game hunting on Edwards Air Force Base, Bissel Hills Hunting Area 1 and Mesquite Woodlands Hunting Area 2. Upland game species authorized for hunting include: black-tailed jackrabbit, desert cottontail rabbit, quail, chuckar, and dove. Hunting for upland game species is also limited to designated seasons as authorized by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The base follows California state hunting regulations; however, they may be further limited by Base regulations.

Archery hunting is allowed for rabbit only in Area 2 (Mesquite Woodlands).
